A District of Columbia couple has sued British Airways, saying the airline ruined their vacation by booking them tickets to the Caribbean island of Grenada instead of Granada, Spain.

Large Branch Crushes Passing SUV in NW D.C.

A local woman escaped unscathed after a large branch crushed the back half of her SUV in northwest D.C. Thursday morning. Carolyn Baker told News4’s Megan McGrath she was driving down Constitution Avenue NW when the scary situation unfolded.

Police identify woman found floating in water at Georgetown Waterfront

Metropolitan police identified the woman found floating face down at the Georgetown Waterfront Monday. Police tell WTOP 53-year-old Robyn McShay of no fixed address died around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police don’t yet know the cause of death, but say there are no signs of foul play.

A highly-decorated Green Beret was forced to leave the U.S. Army after his affair with a Washington Post war correspondent was discovered. Maj. Jim Gant, a Special Forces commander with the Army, was relieved of his command in March 2012 after being embedded in a combat outpost in Afghanistan.

D.C. police are at the Georgetown Waterfront where they’ve discovered a woman floating in the water. A spokeswoman for police says they got a call just before 5 p.m. on Monday.
