I’m a Polish master chef born in Austria and educated in Europe, mainly in Poland with apprenticeships in Lyon, France, and the former East Berlin. My culinary history includes hotel-restaurant school in Poland, cooking dinner for Nikita Khrushchev; working banquets for General Jaruzelski, Prime Minister of Poland; and Marshall A. Grechko, Soviet east bloc commander who organized the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia.

Since arriving in the United States, I’ve worked for many major brand hotels, such as the Four Seasons Hotel, the Registry, Hyatt New York, Marriott, and Hilton hotels. My culinary awards include one gold medal, two bronze medals, two black Geneva medals, numerous trophies, blue ribbons, and many letters of excellence.

I have hosted former vice president Al Gore (twice), Lt. Gen. James F. McCall, controller of the U.S. Army; several US state governors and members of Congress, and many international dignitaries. Cuomo’s Justice Center Lacks Transparency

ALBANY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, July 7, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — “Thousands of sexual assaults of children and women with disabilities continue to be reported to Cuomo’s Justice Center and almost all are kept from 911 call systems, local police, County District Attorney’s and from criminal prosecution. Gov. Cuomo has ignored the New York Times Editorial board, as well as civil and disability rights advocates calls for 911 immediate reporting and surveillance cameras to finally end decades of discrimination and to ensure the protection of our most vulnerable.” – Michael Carey – Civil Rights & Disability Rights Advocate

It is not just the Jonathan Carey Foundation making these claims. Comptroller DiNapoli attempted to audit Cuomo’s abuse hotline, but his audit was severely obstructed. The audit of the Justice Center’s operations was requested by well known and respected Civil Rights and Disability Rights Advocate, Michael Carey. The audits main mission was to determine what sex crimes, physical assault crimes and deaths actually were reported to and investigated by local police and reported to county elected District Attorney’s. Comptroller DiNapoli described the lack of transparency and obstruction as “troubling.”

Carey received this statement from the Comptroller in an email following the public release of the audit;

“As we discussed, when the Justice Center provided to our auditors the population of substantiated cases, they did not provide us with information related to whether the cases were referred to 911 or other law enforcement.”

Records obtained by Michael Carey through Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) reveal that
the vast majority of crimes committed against the disabled within Cuomo’s extremely dangerous mental health care system never gets to the police. Assemblyman Tom Abinanti in an extremely damning BuzzFeed investigative report called what the Justice Center is doing as “obstruction of justice.”

The Justice Center’s Executive Director, Denise Miranda is attempting to paint a different picture or spin the corruption into something different, but she is making it worse for herself. Covering up sexual assaults and rapes of vulnerable children and women and defrauding the federal government are State and federal crimes. The falsification of public records is illegal. The numbers released by Miranda are not even close to being accurate numbers; the Justice Center is cooking the books. Miss Miranda’s statement claiming that the Justice Center “investigates every allegation” is not true; approximately 2% of the calls to Cuomo’s abuse hotline are ever investigated by the Justice Center.

The Justice Center is a deceitful and extremely corrupt State agency that is protecting abusers and sexual predators, not people with special needs. The Justice Center is not protecting children from sexual predators. The Justice Center is not protecting women with disabilities from being raped. The Justice Center is not ensuring the prosecution of all crimes committed against the disabled. The Justice Center is not holding people that take the life of a disabled person accountable. The Justice Center is not a Justice Center, but the exact opposite. The Justice Center must be shut down and the people involved in covering-up countless sex crimes and deaths must be indicted and prosecuted, including Miss Miranda.

The wide-scale obstruction of justice is off the charts and many State officials are involved. You just do not conceal this level of State and federal crimes without many powerful people and parties being complicit or actively involved in attempting to protect the governor. The root of the cover-ups is massive Medicaid fraud and gross misappropriation of State and federal Medicaid funds.

Federal law has certain very clear directives where the billions of Medicaid dollars are to go and be used for which are, safe programs that are free from abuse and neglect, programs free from human rights violations and programs free from financial and sexual exploitation. Countless extremely dangerous facilities known by Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Justice Center are allowed to investigate sex crimes and deaths occurring within their own facilities. Only local police, county prosecutors and medical examiners are supposed to be investigating and ensuring the prosecution of these horrific crimes.

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s corrupt abuse hotline and agency is not independent and it has no oversight. Cuomo’s agency has been getting away with protecting numerous Larry Nassar’s, sexual predators and pedophiles that prey on vulnerable children. Enough is enough, the truth must be told and this evil must be stopped. These crimes against children are similar in scope and horror to that of war crime atrocities.

Other than Malonga, chefs from Australia, Denmark, Germany, Norway, Peru, Spain, Turkey, the US and the UK were named today as Top ten finalists for the Basque Culinary World Prize 2018, an award for trailblazing chefs whose work has had a transformative impact beyond gastronomy. The announcement was made at an event at Enrique Olvera’s Cosme Restaurant in New York City, which is listed in World´s 50 Best Restaurants.

With over 140 chefs nominated from over 42 countries, this year the prize received the largest pool of applicants to date. To be considered for the award, chefs had to be nominated by another professional currently working in the world of gastronomy – for instance, another chef, food writer or food supplier, or an institution.

Born in the Congo and raised in Germany, this young chef took advantage of the fame he achieved through participating in Top Chef (France) to showcase and support African gastronomic talent. With his Chefs in Africa platform, founded in 2016, Malonga advises chefs and apprentices and puts them in contact with companies, academies, hotels and restaurants that might recruit them or offer grants. Its objective is to offer an opportunity to all young people with a vocation for cooking, like he was himself, so that they can overcome the barriers they currently face, such as lack of training, employment and discrimination. More than 4,000 chefs from African countries or in the diaspora have joined this network. Institutions such as the World Tourism Organisation and UNESCO support its work.

Now in its third year, the prize is organised and promoted by the Basque Government under the Euskadi-Basque Country Strategy and the Basque Culinary Center (BCC), a world leading academic institution in gastronomy. In 2016, the prize went to Venezuelan María Fernanda Di Giacobbe, who won for her Cacao de Origen project in Venezuela, and in 2017 went to Leonor Espinosa for her Funleo project, a foundation that promotes "Gastronomy for development".

The winner, who will be chosen by an international jury comprised of the world’s most acclaimed chefs and experts in different aspects of food culture, will be announced on July 24th during the eighth annual meeting of the Basque Culinary Center International Council in Modena, Italy.

The Jury will be chaired by Joan Roca (Spain) and will include celebrated chefs such as Gastón Acurio (Peru), Massimo Bottura (Italy), Manu Buffara (Brazil), Mauro Colagreco (France), Dominique Crenn (USA), Yoshihiro Narisawa (Japan), and Enrique Olvera (Mexico). Leonor Espinosa, the BCWP 2017 winner, will also join the jury, together with experts in other disciplines such as food writer Ruth Reichl, director David Gelb, food historian Bee Wilson and interior designer Ilse Crawford.

The winner will be awarded €100,000 to devote to a project or institution of their choice that expresses the ethos of the prize: to transform society through gastronomy.

LAGOS, LAGOS, NIGERIA, July 3, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — MT Sahara Gas, the newly built vessel acquired by the West Africa Gas Limited (WAGL), has delivered 7,000 metric tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in its historic maiden voyage to Nigeria to boost availability and safe access to the commodity widely referred to as cooking gas.

WAGL is a Joint Venture of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and leading Energy Conglomerate, Sahara Group. The JV is run by two companies, NNPC LNG Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NNPC and Sahara Energy’s Oil and Gas trading arm, Ocean Bed Trading Ltd (BVI).

WAGL in January 2017 acquired two new vessels, MT Africa Gas and MT Sahara Gas in its bid to reduce transportation bottlenecks, add value to the Nigeria economy through exporting the commodity, deepen the LPG market in West Africa as well as enhance access to clean and safe energy. The acquisitions were also a strategic response to the lingering challenges of supply, affordability and fraudulent activities motivated by the scarcity of the product.

NNPC’s Group Managing Director, Dr. Maikanti Baru, said in keeping with the Federal Government’s economic growth plan, WAGL remained committed to stabilizing the market and ensuring sustainability of the commodity through strategic deliveries within the sub-region. “This is a historic achievement for the NNPC and Sahara Group that showcases a truly successful partnership by all global standards. The quest is to achieve uninterrupted supply of the commodity and address infrastructural limitations as we continue to implement our zero-tolerance policy against adulterated products and their promoters across the nation.”

LPG/C Africa Gas has performed five Transatlantic voyages loading butane from US Gulf Coast and discharging in West Africa mainly in Abidjan, Tema, and Lome. The vessel also traded once in South America for a spot voyage in September 2017.

LPG/C Sahara Gas has performed four Transatlantic Voyages around the West African region, with her berthing in Lagos, being her first trade in Nigeria, after it loaded from Bonny and discharged in Lagos. Sahara Gas also had a spot trade in France in April 2017.

Total volumes traded by both vessels include 150,000 MT in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, 35,000 MT in Tema, Ghana, 2,500 MT in Lome, Togo, and the recently delivered 7,000 MT in Lagos, Nigeria. Africa Gas is currently discharging in Abidjan and heads out to Tema, Ghana and Lome, Togo in a fortnight.
