Water conservation request extended through Monday for Upper Kula system due to broken line

The County of Maui Department of Water Supply (DWS) is extending its request for residents, visitors and businesses in the Upper Kula area, from Upper Kimo Drive to Kanaio, to conserve water through Monday, Sept. 28, while crews continue work to repair a water break on a line serving the Upper Kula system.

Water users are asked to limit water use to essential needs, including drinking, cooking and hygiene, and to postpone nonessential uses such as irrigation and other outdoor water activities. Conserving water will help maintain storage levels in the system, allowing DWS to preserve water for essential needs and emergency protection while repairs are underway.
